Social[ist] Services and Beyond

It’s often argued that socialism is a benign force exemplified by  programs like Social Security, Medicaid, and perhaps the services of the local fire department and dog catcher. While any intrusion by government into the affairs of its population bears a family likeness to socialism, the differences go far beyond mere degrees of government authority.

Individual policies can often be seen as movements toward socialism but, in fact, socialism is an ideological stance that seeks to perpetually enhance the authority of the state to the point where individual liberty is crushed. Socialism is not a “service,” it’s a power-grab that will use all manner of promises to distribute wealth and power for an end goal that subdues the human condition to that of compelled obedience to an all powerful apparatus of state.

Socialism has never been about the schemes and cons of mere bureaucratic intrusion. Socialism is, and always has been, about the imposition of feudalism.  It’s standard is medieval — a rigid enforced caste system with a king, lords, and serfs bound to tedium. While the latest social program may facilitate the march toward socialism, an accurate appraisal of socialism is aware of its threat to humanity, justice, and freedom. Socialism IS communism.

A social security bureaucrat or local fire department employee is not interested in imposing punishment upon those who resist punitive government authority.  A typical Biden/Democrat politico today is solely committed to that purpose.  They are not just incompetent idealists performing “services.”  They are dogmatic authoritarians seeking to engulf free society in another one of their pathetic purges.
